AEO for Brick and Mortar Businesses
AEO or AI engine optimization for brick and mortar businesses, especially if you’re in Nashville or anywhere in the United States or even Canada, but let’s just talk about the United States.
The Rise of AEO by 2026
So, what they just came up with by 2026, which is, you know, less than what, seven, eight months from now, they are saying that AEO or AI engine searches are going to make up over 25% of all the searches out there. They’re not going to Bing, they’re not going to Yahoo, I guess that’s still out there. They’re not going to Google. They’re doing the searches within like Grok, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, all of the other ones.
So, one of the things that you can do to get ahead of it, and this is like, it’s not like SEO where everybody and their mother-in-law is trying to get into it and the competition is stacked three miles high. This is where the little guys can really crush it. And if you’ve got a budget anywhere from $500 to $2,500 to $3,000 a month, you can actually own it if you hook up with someone that knows what the heck they’re doing.
And here’s why.
Differences Between SEO and AEO
There’s a huge difference between SEO and AEO, and they do overlap some, but not everything is there. So, when people are talking or inputting for the AI engines, they’re typically doing what I’m doing right now, I’m speaking into my phone, and the keyword terms are a lot longer, and they’re different. And the other thing is too because the AI’s are so smart, you can’t like flip ’em out by having stacked a bunch of keywords. You actually have to give a really good answer shortly and succinctly for it to show up on let’s say in Grok or ChatGPT or Gemini or any of the other ones.
Effective Strategies for AEO
And then you have to have schema on the site, which basically lets the AI’s know what you’re talking about, what the question is, what the answer is, the follow up and suggested questions that relate to it. They want short and sweet answers that are actually to the point ’cause they can check the whole world internet and find out what people actually search for and stop on. Because when they stop, that means they found the answer they’re looking for. They’re not continuing to do the search.
So, if you were in Nashville or anywhere in the US, get your act together on this because if you’ve tried SEO, maybe spent $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, $5,000 a month on it, and believe me, it still works, but be prepared on SEO to take six months to nine months before you see any significant results, and maybe up to a year. Okay. And that’s normal. Can you get some bumps in between then? Yeah, absolutely.
But when you’re doing AEO, you can actually start to see the results. We’ve gotten them within a week to two weeks, and definitely within a month. It’s kind of crazy.
Success Stories and Potential of AEO
And that’s because for every thousand people that are doing SEO, now let’s say 10,000 people that are doing SEO right now, there’s maybe 20 or 30 that are doing AEO. And that number’s going to ramp up. I know there’s a lot of people that say they know what they’re doing, but they don’t.

Working with Small and Medium Businesses
And I think I might put together a mini course on it just because, one, I love seeing small businesses, medium sized business, really beat the crap out of the big guys. Also, they’re just more fun to work with. I want to know the person.
We’ve got some big, big companies. We’ve got some hedge funds and stuff we work with. They’re great. Don’t get me wrong, and if you guys are watching this, I love you guys, but I can’t have an impact as quickly as I can when we work with a small business, because it takes 60 days to make a decision of whether or not we can do something new and it has to go through a committee, oftentimes the legal counsel.
Whereas with the small businesses, or even a medium sized business, I don’t know, $20 million and under, we can get to the owner, the CEO, or the manager, and make these changes like within a day or two, and show results. And that’s what it’s all about. But once you get there, you’re going to be able to, if you keep on stacking this stuff, it could bring in $10,000, $20,000, $100,000, $250,000 in business a month.
I know we’ve got one client that just on the AEO that we’ve started since, it’s around December-January timeframe, they’re bringing over $50,000 plus per month just off the AEO, and it might get even closer to $100,000 from what I’ve been seeing.
If you want to know about AEO, get on the bandwagon. It’s going to be 25% of all searches by 2026 which isn’t too far away. And you can really beat the competition because there’s so little, it’s a hundred to one. Okay. So for every a hundred people trying to rank for whatever it is you’re doing, maybe you’re an accountant, or an attorney, or a dentist, or a plastic surgeon, or a roofing company or whatever it is, for every a hundred people out there that are trying to get that SEO spot, whether it’s in Nashville or Franklin or Columbus, Ohio, or Miami or wherever, there’s only going to be one or two that are trying to get it for AEO. And that volume is creeping up like 2%-3% a month. So you could be the only guy or gal out there and get a boatload of business.
Once you get that stuff stacked up and you start doing it, you’re going to be a mile ahead of the other guys and gals out there.
